Aakriti is a self-taught artist born and raised in India, now making her creative journey in California.

As an artist, Aakriti is deeply driven by memory. Particularly the memories that exist just beneath the surface of our consciousness. Her work is an exploration of what the mind holds onto, often without us realizing it. She approaches each piece without a fixed outcome, trusting instead that something meaningful is waiting to be uncovered by navigating the tension between structure and freedom.

She often see straight lines, geometric shapes, and portals alongside flowing curves, paisleys and organic forms. To her, they represent the different sides of life, the things that ground us and the parts of us that want to move, change and explore.

She paints with bold color, movement, and a lot of intuition. Her work is an ongoing search for balance, signifying being grounded without feeling confined, and finding freedom within the structures we create.
