Aakriti is a self-taught artist born and raised in India, now making her creative journey in California. 

As an artist, Aakriti is deeply driven by memory. Particularly the memories that exist just beneath the surface of our consciousness. Her work is an exploration of what the mind holds onto, often without us realizing it. She approaches each piece without a fixed outcome, trusting instead that something meaningful is waiting to be uncovered.

By navigating the tension between opposing forces (light and shadow, delicacy and boldness, chaos and calm) Aakriti creates whimsical, emotionally charged forms that feel both instinctive and whimsically human. Her work becomes a direct translation of the strange, layered, and imaginative landscape of the human mind.
